This Dark Choc Brownie was the last flavor for me to try from the Misfits
variety box that I purchased. The flavor is nice, though pretty one note. If you’re a brownie lover it may be the right one for you. Not very sweet. Like the others, it has a bit of a crumbly texture with crunchy soy puffs inside, covered in chocolate.
Overall, I like the range. I enjoyed the choc hazelnut and caramel flavors the most out of the bunch.
When comparing to other bars, it’s important to keep in mind what your goal is, as a different one can meet that goal. Sometimes I know I’ll need a bit more protein to reach my daily goal, other times I may just want a candy bar with some protein. Other times I may have a busy day and know I’ll need to get some calories whilst on the run.
I’d say Misfits bars are a good in-between bar as they taste quite nice, but are not quite like a candy bar - but offer a good amount of protein with 15-16 grams and 170-190 calories. I’d say they are pretty comparable to Nugo Slim bars in those respects.
Though I don’t think I’d place an order for these bars again, if I come across them, especially the hazelnut flavor, I’d repurchase.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase this particular choc brownie flavor but I also wouldn’t turn it down. This particular flavor is 190 cal with 15 g of protein.
