Apple Pie

Another wonderful find at Grocery Outlet. The pie was purchased frozen, so I baked it at home and brought it to my parents’ place as our dessert. (I usually have dinner with them on Sundays) When I pulled the pie out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the mound in this pie (refer to the third to sixth photos). It was loaded with apple slices! And had a beautiful colour to it once baked. Unfortunately, I kind of butchered it while trying to slice it. My parents absolutely loved the crust. In fact, they loved the entire pie (the crust, appearance, taste). And they were shocked the price was only $4.99. I was sort of disappointed in that the pie seemed rather hollow as I cut into it. Look at the last photo. I guess I had assumed that the apple slices would have remained piled right to the top crust. Oh well, it doesn’t matter. Everybody was happy with it. I bought a second pie that day, a blueberry pie, so I can’t wait to get into that. I would buy the Apple Pie again.
