It was okay, not my favourite mince. I found it hard to cook evenly. Some of it was black while the rest was still pink, even though I was stirring none stop. The texture was okay and the portion is perfect for 2 meals and a little left over for tomorrow. £3.25
It's still disgusting buying something that looks like raw meat, that's why I don't do that often. It's surprising when you cook this and don't smell any dead animal, but it's still very realistic in terms of texture and taste. I used it in a white lasagna with béchamel, swede and smoked tofu: seriously delicious. Used it also for the filling of vegetable rolls: also very delicious! So yeah, I'll overcome my prejudice and occasionally buy it again.
This pack of mince is bigger than the others in Sainsbury’s, making it pretty cost-effective for a fresh-mince. It wasn’t entirely convincing on its own, but did a good job once slightly hidden in the filling my Shepherd’s pie. Glad it exists! #veganmeat 👨🍳
