Be careful to get the vegan version as there's also a non-vegan variety. Use as
a veg stock, base for vegan gravy or just to add flavour to any veg dish. A basic ingredient that's going to lift any veg dish. Just add to hot water.

Superbly versatile product. Adds a great depth to any dish, soups, stews, sauces or
stir-frys. We have to buy the super large size as we get through so much of it.

Marigold makes two versions of powdered vegan stock, one comes in a pale green tub
and the other one - this one - in a purple one. I tried them both and honestly I always prefer this one. The only problem is that while the green one can be found pretty much everywhere, I can only find this one at Holland & Barrett. I don’t remember if I get it for £2.49 or 1.49, anyway it’s not expensive at all.
The reason why I prefer this to the other is because it has more umami flavour (although I still need to add a little bit of salt), while the green one is quite bland and flavourless to me. Also this one contains different types of veggies while the other has a lot of mushrooms (if I’m not wrong).
Anyway, this is my loyal stock and I rarely buy something different!
