I’ve tried other products from the #brand, like their #bacon for example, so when I

noticed this #tempeh at the store, I wanted to try it. It has a very short. #cleaningredients list which is great, and I’ve always loved tempeh more than tofu, not only for its #nutty taste but also because it’s #fermented which has additional health benefits. All that said, this doesn’t have much taste on its own, but mixed into a flavourful dish, it absorbs the flavours well and packs a great #protein punch and well as #probiotics.

I always have 2-3 of these in my fridge at all times! Great for tacos,

vegan lasagna/bolognese, and rice bowls. It’ll take on whatever flavor you marinate it with. Put it in the food processor/blender for a few pulses or break apart with your fingers to get smaller “ground meat” style chunks. Crisps up really nice for tacos too. Price: $2.99 at Whole Foods.

I've tried this a couple times now, and love it!
This is the only brand I've

found locally, so this is the only brand of tempeh I've cooked with. Similar to tofu, you do need to add some sauce/marinade to give it flavor. But I love the more complex flavor you get out of tempeh.
If this is your first time using it, there is a layer of vacuum sealed plastic under the outer package (2 layers of plastic wrapping it), so just make sure you removne it. It is hard to tell it's there. Just slice up the tempeh, add sauce, saute. I usually have a hard time not eating the whole batch right there!
It's fast, easy, delicious... You can't go wrong.

When I first became vegan , I thought tempeh was nasty 🤢, but now I

love it and especially this brand. I break it up into pieces, season it and toss it in my chili recipe,, it gives wonderful texture to this dish

I am not a tempeh expert, in fact it was my first time trying one

that was not flavored. I was using it as salad topping, the first time I added teriyaki sauce during cooking, but the second time I ate it plain. The texture was good, very soft and tender. It was okay, not sure what plain tempeh was even supposed to taste like, I certainly enjoyed it more than tofu. What I don’t get is why it was double wrapped in plastic, I’ve tried their Buffalo Tempeh and it only had one layer of packaging.
