Lentil cottage pie with sweet potato mash

I don’t normally eat ready meals but my partner and I had climbed a mountain this particular day and so I needed something quick and easy. This #lentils #cottagepie by Kirsty’s came out very structurally compromised and just looked like a pile of muck 🥲 it tasted OK. But I was a little underwhelmed to say the least - I have learned my ready meal lesson

This was nice enough but I’ve had better. Also the film lid was annoying to remove.

Tastes ok! Very low calorie. A little bit depressing! Seems to be sweetened with orange juice like most ready meal veggie butternut squash things. Quite bland.

This sounded great. And to it’s credit, it was substantial, warm and filling. Where I found it lacking was in flavor,and texture. I was able to bump it up with garlic coconut aminos. Texture of the mash was a bit grainy, not creamy. All in all it was a filling meal. I think that I would make my own version from scratch next time.
