Nice and spicy, with onion and tomatoes and that nice smoky flavour! 👍🌶️😋

Not too spicy to me, it has a rich smoky flavor, due to the smoking

process. There is also underlying sweetness to it that comes from the extra time the jalapeños had on the vine.

Before opening this can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, I had no

idea what a chipotle pepper looks like or tastes like. I’ve had food before that incorporated chipotle peppers, but never really knew how they tasted.

Visually, these peppers are not very appealing. Neither is the sauce. See the last photo. But the taste is incredible! None of the ingredients are obscure or weird.

I’m surprised the calorie count is so low. Only 15 calories for 2 peppers.

I used the chipotle peppers and sauce when I made burritos earlier today (I used a recipe from Thug Kitchen). The chipotle peppers and sauce were mixed with onions, tomato paste, garlic, vegetable broth, orange juice, brown sugar, corn syrup (didn’t have molasses), black beans, peas and corn. (A couple other Thug Kitchen recipes were used for the baked Spanish rice and mango salsa). I was very happy with how the whole dish turned out.

I will use some of the leftover peppers and sauce as pizza toppings next.

This is one of the default flavorings I use to make jackfruit dishes. Just one

or two peppers are enough🌶 (the flavor is very concentrated). It’s not too spicy and adds a nice tang and complexity to the dish. It also plays well with many other seasonings. I’ve tried it in pasta dishes, pizza toppings, dipping sauces and (of course!) any Mexican inspired dishes.
Despite its stable place in my kitchen, I’ve not looked into its origin or traditional uses. Perhaps @abi88 can shine some light on it :)

Great for a nice smokey sauce or in a bean chilli. Overall pretty healthy ingredients

a couple unhealthy ones but they're lower down on the list. Taste is out of this world. And it's not that expensive. I think it was only a couple dollars per can and in my experience one can is able to contribute to about 3 or 4 different dishes.
