Kokoa’s African Black Soap is a saviour for oily, acne prone skin!
I have always struggled
to find cleansers which are deep enough to absorb excess oils and keep acne at bay but also gentle enough that they don’t dry out and irritate my skin. This little bar of soap however has been the most effective remedy for my acne prone and oily skin. I have noticed a significant improvement in the clearness of my skin since I started using this product in July and my family have commented on numerous occasions about how much better my skin looks.
There’s very few ingredients which make up this soap and they’re all natural. Just water, cocoa pod ash, shea butter and sunflower oil.
The soap lathers incredibly well. It literally feels like you’re rubbing a cloud onto your face. I get carried away massaging the foam onto my skin sometimes because its silky softness feels amazing.
I recommend breaking a small piece off rather than lathering up the whole bar. It’s less wasteful and easier to control how much you use when you’re working a lather with a smaller amount. A little really does go a long way. Also, regular sized bar lasts me about two and half months which I think is a good length of time.
Cruelty free, vegan and packaged in a cardboard box. Almost entirely plastic free except for the small sticky label around the box which is easy to remove so the box can be recycled.

I don’t think I’ll ever be without this product now. Everyone with acne-prone, oily skin needs to try this. (It is also noted as being effective at aiding eczema and psoriasis).
