I already finished my homemade #almond butter (I know, it hasn’t even been a month!)

so clearly I needed to make a bigger batch the second time around. This mammoth Costco bag was an even better deal than the ones I bought previously — I think it was about $11 for 3 lbs., or under $4/lb at any rate. They’re U.S.-grown, which means their likely origin is California’s Central Valley.

These almonds are “raw” in the sense that they aren’t roasted, just pasteurized as required by FDA food safety regulation. They are treated with steam, as opposed to a fumigant. I didn’t further toast them or even bother to remove the skins, just tipped as many #nuts as would fit into my food processor, #lazyvegan-style. It’s passive but requires patience (lots of ear-splitting grinding and periodically resting the motor;) still, the end result is so worthwhile. Plus, at this price point, there’s modest but real savings over the commercially produced stuff. I’ll definitely buy another bag — perhaps in a couple of months, if current consumption patterns continue. Bonus (last photo): my current favorite breakfast, ABCD toast! — homemade almond butter, sliced bananas, and cinnamon on a slice of Dave's Killer Bread.

Me encantan, el snack perfecto. Son saladas y ahumadas. Me las dejaron en mi hotel.

These almonds are steam pasteurized and always fresh. I like to soak and

dry my almonds before I use them for snacking or in recipes. Great deal @ 19.99 for 1.36 kg on Amazon

Taste like almonds. What else can I say?! I like the big bag from Costco.
