Since centuries if not earlier, the village populatIon in India has been using charcoal to clean their teeth. People in Indian cities and abroad looked at them as if they were completely nuts and primitive. And now how the tables have turned. The joke is on us. When western personal care brands have started the charcoal propoganda in almost all personal hygiene products and more. This brings me to my review of this simple yet amazing product manufactured in yours truly, the USA. I came across Hello, when I was staying with a friend of mine in Zürich. She had recently been back from California with this toothpaste along with her. I tried it on and I felt the difference immediately from a regular toothpaste to this, just feels more natural and even the foam is black. Usually the so called charcoal products produce a soapy whitness. It has a lot of No s as mentioned on the box you can read. No Paravents and sulphates being most important to me. Also this product is not animal tested, vegan and leaping bunny certified - to all in the vegan community. Overall it’s a great product to have as toothpaste is something that goes in our mouth everyday and it doesn’t hurt to choose what does!
After my tube is over I will probably go back to the local market and buy some charcoal myself and start using it, will keep it as my indian thing. @alaine
