Cheddar Slices

I will never understand what was going through my head when I bought an industrial amount of #vegancheese but then again, that’s not my job 🤷‍♀️ That’s what my psychiatrist’s for 💆‍♀️ The primary use for #cheeseslices in a Dutch household is of course boterham met kaas 🥪 but being Asian and a general lover of #koreanfood too it must go in #armystew! 😋 I tried this several ways to figure out how best to get it to #melt 🌞 As usual, the best result is in a pan on top of a #patty with a little water and a lid to steam 🚢 The microwave works too, but once again you’ll want to make sure it steams — use a steamer lid! The same one that works magic for rice 🙈 Unsurprisingly, it does not like being toasted in an #airfryer or an #oven 😅 It does also dry really easily in the fridge, so keep it air-tight! I went with my handy Stasher of course 😉 I like how it holds up its shape though. It’s perfect in a stew 🤭 It’s the kind of #veganjunkfood that just makes sense! Think #slicedcheese on Maggi, #mamak style 🥴 I have yet to see how the second half of this holds up in the freezer 🥶 I’m going to be so sick of cheese in a week 😂 Oh and taste? 👅 Erm… Cheese. #veganuary #cheesethatmelts #ditchdairy

I did not like this cheese that much, maybe if the slices were thinner, it would have been better. 😍🤤🌱💚

Fatias com sabor a Cheddar. Um pouco seco, mas fica bom em tostas e cozinhados.

La mia colazione per eccellenza era pane tostato e formaggio, per cui sono alla continua ricerca di formaggi vegani che fondano. Il sapore è molto delicato, le fette sono un po' più spesse di quelle Lidl e si scioglie bene. Se lasciato un po' di più sul fuoco di forma una stupenda crosticina. Sul retro c'è anche una ricetta 😊
