Plant Based Crab Cakes

I enjoyed these Breaded Plant-Based Crab Cakes by Good Catch. As someone who is allergic

to shellfish, I can’t say how accurate it tastes to the real thing, but I can say these had a great texture and taste. I air-fried mine and topped them over a salad with some vegan caesar dressing (see photo). It was a very fresh meal and perfect for a warm day. The box also has instructions for air-frying, which is becoming more and more common and I’m loving it.

These had a mild crab cake flavor but I really didn’t find it very distinctive. They smelled great while cooking. I’d say they were ok 😊

with these delicious crab cakes. The flavour was excellent and very realistic. The texture was nice and flaky and each serving has a good amount of protein and iron.

The plant-based seafood space is still lacking, so it’s really great that products like this exist and are also really tasty as well. Here’s to a world where crab cakes are made from legumes 🙌 🦀

Silver-dollar sized. Beautiful as an appetizer plate, but need 2-3 for a sammie. The bell

pepper flavor is too strong for my liking in a crab cake. Texture was fine. I fried for 9 mins in EVOO vs air frying. Would buy again.
