A bit confusing as they have #glutenfree and gluten-full vegetable #springrolls in nearly identical green boxes. Usually I’m all for reporting duplicates, but in this case, I think another entry is actually needed. If you’re GF, do look out for the little yellow tab on the packaging that proclaims its contents gluten-free; it can be easy to miss. Like the curry-flavored rolls I tried previously, these were stuffed to the gills with mashed #tofu and basic #vegetables, like peas and carrots. Not very flavorful, but certainly substantial — they’re quite filling, especially if you eat two. The GF wrapper was a bit on the crumbly side and didn’t have the crisp crackliness I usually associate with egg rolls, although it could be down to the prep method: I baked them in my toaster oven, but they may have fared better in an air fryer. Even so, they were pretty good! A worthy purchase when half-off ($3.25 from Safeway,) though not one I’m confident I’d repeat at full price. They are slightly more expensive than their gluten-containing counterparts, too. Still, I think it’s great that they’ve created a tasty and accessible option; moreover, they aren’t afraid to display their vegan credentials proudly on the front of the box! #veganisnotscary
