Gardein is a consistently good brand. Thereās only been one product of theirs that
I didnāt care for and that one was a pea protein based product rather than their usual soy-wheat combo. This product, however, is a little odd to me as I liked the meat but not the sauce. The chickun has a great texture and is fast and easy to cook up. It is lightly seasoned, as the bbq sauce is paired with it. Unfortunately the bbq sauce was a bit odd. At first taste, it was pleasant with a slightly smoky and peppery flavor - but it then had a plastic like aftertaste. Iāve not experienced that with any of Gardeinās sauces before so maybe itās an anomaly? Iām also not quite sure why these are called āwings,ā because as far as I know they arenāt much like wings. The photo on the package is a good representation though, so I donāt think anyone is being fooled.

I didnāt know what to expect and I was impressed by the ādesignā (they look
like flat mid-wing joints), texture and taste. the accompanying sauce tasted exactly like itās name āŗļø. #wings #barbecue #veganchicken
