I decided to heat up two slices of these on a skillet and put them

on top of a bowl of vegan cheesy ramen i made using vegan mozzarella cheese and vegan spicy cheese sauce. It was really delicious and I got a good protein boost out of it. I am so proud of myself for getting as creative as I did with this. Definitely something I would do again. #abillionlove

My first recipe with these turned out just okay (fried chicken sandwiches) but my second

recipe (chicken marsala) was delicious. These cutlets were a lot thinner than I expected, not very flavorful, and the texture was a bit rubbery. I let them defrost completely so they cooked quickly in a frying pan. I would get these to make the marsala dish again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to find them.

It was burger 🍔 night after a long day of being #veganonvacation and while the

omnis made their own patties, we couldn't find any so opted to substitute these fillets instead. Not bad when paired with all the burger ingredients, but the taste and texture leave much to be desired on its own. Fry's @fryfamilyfood and Woolies chickn products are miles ahead!

This is a pretty good attempt at a boneless chicken breast substitute. There are a

few things that keep me from liking it as much as other Gardein products though.

The prep instructions are really specific. This limits the product's usefulness in my eyes. And, oddly, the water they tell you to use while cooking washes away the flavoring it comes with.

The texture is bordering on squishy but it's firm enough, depending on how it's used. I could see these cut into small pieces and used for chicken salad. They would also be good on sandwiches with BBQ sauce. But I tried it in chick'n pot pie and didn't care for the texture. That's probably because it's not meant to bake for a long time surrounded by sauce. I also ate one just plain with a little added seasoning. It actually wasn't bad like that but I wouldn't rush to do it again.
