#applesauce #motts #vegan #veganisnotscary I bought this applesauce at Metro. I don’t remember how much I paid, but it was on sale for less than the price of its house brand’s applesauce. So I figured it was better value. Usually Mott’s applesauce is priced higher. I love applesauce as it’s a healthy snack. I normally eat it on its own, mix it with plant-based ice cream for a snack and always use it as an ingredient in baking (a healthier substitute for oil). In the last photo, I mixed it with thawed fruit (strawberries, bananas, kiwis). This stuff is so good. It should be a staple in every vegan’s household, if it’s not already. I like that it’s fat-free, but it does contain a lot of sugar; a half cup has 13 grams of sugar (or 13% of your day’s recommended intake of sugar). Thankfully it’s from the apples themselves (sugar is not an ingredient, hence “unsweetened”). Imagine the sugar content of the sweetened version!! I definitely recommend Mott’s unsweetened applesauce.
I love me some #unsweetened #applesauce. I add it to my #homemade #oatmeal so mix everything else that I put in it and of course I like the #flavour that it brings as well. I still don’t understand why they make sweetened sauce, because even the unsweetened stuff is pretty sweet! 😜
It is cheap. It tastes very good. It is an easy way to eat a health snack.
I don’t have a favorite apple sauce. I usually buy the one that’s unsweetened and on sale. This one is good
