after trying the pb&j and the choc hazelnut Frooze Balls, i was interested to see how these Lemon Cheesecake ones would taste and i like them okay- i think the date taste goes a tad better with the fruit flavors than the chocolate does but i still like the pb&j ones the best. overall though, these nail the zesty lemon and tangy cheezecake flavors which combine well with the sweet date and coconut! 🍋

These exceeded my expectations as I haven’t been too impressed with some of the other flavours I’ve had in the past. It does say on the packaging that this is their new recipe so perhaps that has something to do with it 🤭 What was really cool was that this actually tasted like lemon cheesecake! There was a sour cheesiness to it along a sharp tang citrus of the lemon, which together with the sweet date-based energy ball were a really complementary set of flavors going on. I liked that there were different textures too- the cheesecake part was more creamy, the lemon was akin to a lemon curd thick gel-like texture and of course the sticky date ball that held everything together. Great snack to bring on the go and is handy when I’m feeling peckish at work and want something healthy!
These were actually really good and zesty. Similar to the larabar lemon flavor — so if you like that, you’ll love this.

These are so fun! The lemon really pops in these energy balls, and the cashew paste is really creamy! The date, nut and coconut exterior are firm but have a nice yield when bitten into. Definitely a good snack for on the go. The recyclable container has a secure lid, so it can withstand some tossing. Nutritionally, each 5 ball (70g) serving gives you 300 calories from 15g of fat (6g saturated from cashews and coconut), 32g of carbs (7g of fiber) and 5g of protein.
