I don't know any other vegan margarine/spread in the South African Market so I continue to buy this brand. You can buy this pretty much anywhere - Checkers, Spars, Woolworths, and PnPs although there's always that one time when it's not on the supermarket you chose to go to. Murphy's Law, I guess. It lasts me about a month or just over, but I learnt early on not to use it in pastries as it goes very quickly. In a way it makes me think twice from baking pies, quiches and tarts so all good I suppose (unconvinced...). Of course, refrigeratored coconut oil is just as good if not better, which brings me to my best point- got my blood tests back after quiting vegan butter (homemade) with 1 1/2 cups of coconut butter each time and switching to this and my cholesterol has dipped significantly for me to try and avoid coconut oil as much as possible. Only for high days and holidays, or now and again (remembers the coconut cream she ate on Sunday...) I will Definitely keep buying this. It does taste nice on its own, actually, or with PB on rice cakes or Finn Crisps. #veganisnotscary UPDATE: Just when you thought it was OK to eat one product, you find out that it too has palm oil, kernels in it. Seriously? I thought the whole world knew that these the use of these ingredients are killing our rain forests and the habitats for beautiful wild life . Wtf. So, no to Flora. Hello avocados for now...or just olive oil?
