Chao Shreds Creamy Original

i personally think Chao Creamery is a bit hyped for what it is- and for how expensive it is. these Creamy Original Plant-Based Shreds were okay but there’s better tasting brands on the market that melt the same if not better for less money. 🧀

This cheese is delicious over a pizza, gnocchi, nachos, or a pasta. A little goes a long way to adding some cheesy goodness to a meal. #vegancheese

I don’t think Chao cheese is anything special, but most people (vegans and non vegans) seem to like it more than other brands. These shreds melted nicely and tasted good in a sandwich. Would probably not repurchase because of the high price ($6-7 at Sprouts/Target).

As you can see, I polished this off As my used on pizza, in quiche and salads and a frittata. This does melt well and has a good taste.
