Tastes like dairy Parmesan but less salty. This has been repackaged and tastes the same as the previous product but is now 180g and not 200g and for a higher price that it used to be. This tastes similar to blue cheese, the flavour is quite pungent and stronger than the the violife Parmesan but much less expensive at R50. I like strong flavoured cheeses but it does make my entire fridge smell like cheese. I haven’t tried melting it yet. #vegancheese
Great texture, average taste, horrible smell. I personally won't purchase this product again, but I would recommend trying it before deciding. Alternatives are sometimes far and few between which makes this a good option, although I would personally opt for omission. Well done, Fairview - I love seeing this initiative!
The texture of this cheese is very good, but the flavour just isn't for me.
It looked like a block of solid coconut oil, it smell like it too, but it tasted much beter on the dish. It grated perfectly. I won't go as far as to say it tasted close to Parmesan but we did enjoy it over pasta.
