I have recently (last 2 years) discovered Kimchi, after having salivated over The Fussy Vegan's (Johannesburg) Kimchi and Avo burger (or do we call them patties now?) for a long time...and I love this brand. I don't really care which it is (the Eastern or the Spicy variety here), it's great with cheeze and facon, and avo all in one toasted hot sarmie. My only gripe is that it's freaking expensive. I get mine from Dischem because they're the most reliable source at the moment, but at nearly R100 (R89) it's a lot of moolah each time. I am looking into making my own but my experiments with rejuvelac (as some of you know) were pretty disastrous. (Ugh! ) So for now, if my nearest and dearest spot me a jar, I'm very grateful but otherwise this is for when I am feeling extravagant and need a bit of a mood lift. (As you get older retail therapy becomes more food oriented rather than makeup 💄 or clothes 🤔 ).
