It turns out I was wrong. The oat version is very creamy whereas the soy version is not. Also, the soy version doesn’t whiten my coffee at all or nearly as much as the oat version. Needless to say, I returned the second curtain (unopened) for a refund. In fairness to Earth’s Own, I did not froth the milk as it was probably intended to be. I just simply shook the carton and poured. Perhaps my experience would have been different had I frothed it. But I didn’t froth the oat version at the office and it was wonderful. Nutritionally, one serving provides a lot of potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium without a lot of calories, fat and sugar. According to the front of the carton, 92% of the ingredients are organic. When I bought the two cartons of Barista Soy, it was on sale for about $3, which was around $2 less than the Barista Oat. I wouldn’t buy this again, but would buy the oat version instead.
