Earth Balance Traditional Spread

This brand is a go-to for butter/shortening alternatives. It really is buttery. I love it

on toasted bagels! It is great for making scones too or baking in general. I have made some flaky Jamaican veggie patties using this too the trick is to keep the Earth Balance cold for a flaky effect.

Here is vegan Chef Jean-Philippe ‘s favorite butter substitute. But I’m disappointed that it contains

palm oil.
I tried an apple crisp recipe but since I also had wilted pears 🍐 I added them to the apples 🍎 and the result was more runny. Still delicious 😋! A chance that I had made myself the recipe because otherwise I would have remained skeptical so much it tasted like butter.
