You know when there’s a product range that you absolutely love, a range that works
really well for your skin, and is affordable, and then it’s discontinued? That’s what happened with Soaper Duper, who made the most incredible range of vegan body washes and moisturisers. My skin gets dry and itchy in winter with central heating, and I hadn’t found a product range that could be soothing and nourishing *and* affordable. Soaper Duper’s shea butter body butter was around £10 for a big tub, smelt fantastic, and it really worked.
Â
And then, during the pandemic, Soaper Duper ran into some major supply issues and could no longer source the products at an affordable price. They’ve been on hiatus since.
Â
For me, this meant recurring skin sensitivity while I tried to find something that would replace that fab body butter. And I was unsuccessful until I tried this product: Organic Aloe Vera Body Butter by Dr Organic, which contains shea butter, jojoba, and vitamin E. There’s no animal testing across Dr Organic’s product range, and while not all the products are vegan, those that are, including this one, are clearly marked.
Â
So what makes this body butter work where others didn’t? It’s deeply moisturising yet sinks into your skin really quickly. The scent is very light and a little zesty – again important as I’m not keen on overpowering scents. And, fundamentally, after using for this a week or so, my skin is really calm. No itching, no angst. And again, it’s a good price at £9.99 for 200ml.
