These strawberries were wonderful! #berrylover I guess we must be reaching peak #strawberry season, as this 2 lb. carton was on special at Baker’s for just $2.99! #deal There was a huge selection in-store, too: picture several produce cases full of just berries. For perspective, a little over a week ago, I was paying $2.50/lb at the same store! As for the quality and flavor of the #fruit, no complaints! Strawberries are sometimes really hit or miss for me, but these were large, #juicy, fragrant, and #sweet. Because they had so many boxes available, I was able to select a nice-looking one with no spoilage. They’re pretty enough to decorate baked goods, or they’d make a fantastic addition to breakfast or salads. I guess the only thing is that they aren’t organic (I honestly don’t care about ingesting pesticides, but I worry about the agricultural workers, especially in my home state of California, where most strawberries are grown.)
