#vegan #veganisnotscary #dole #apples #applelover #fruit #boughtitforthereview I always buy apples during my weekly shopping trip to No Frills. Unfortunately, there weren’t any sales on apples last week at No Frills, so I decided to buy a bag of Dole Apples simply for the opportunity to write another review. This 4-pound bag was $8.00. Needless to say, I cringed at thought of paying $8.00, but I suppose $2.00 / pound isn’t bad. I don’t know what kind of apples these are as there are apparently hundreds of varieties. But it didn’t really matter to me as long as they’re crispy, which these are. According to Google’s AI Overview, here are some nutritional facts about apples: “Apples are a good source of fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. They are relatively low in calories and can be filling. Antioxidants like polyphenols and anthocyanins are present, especially in the peel. Apples contain pectin, a type of fiber that may aid digestion and promote feelings of fullness.” And here are some health benefits: “May help lower blood sugar levels and benefit heart health, according to Healthline. May reduce the risk of certain cancers, diabetes, and asthma, according to Medical News Today. Can contribute to gut health and may improve brain health. The peel contains many of the apple's nutrients, so it's recommended to eat the whole fruit.” I typically eat 2 to 3 apples a day, so I hope it’s doing something for me. This is the fruit that I buy most often and I will continue to do so.
