Got this at a bargain price, and was very happy with it. Cook it up

as mince for fajitas. Can't really comment on the taste as I drowned it in fajita seasoning, but shared the meal with others and everyone liked it

I like this shelf stable plant-based “chicken.” I’ve tried other brands that were too

soft. But this one actually has somewhat of a “meaty” texture. I added taco seasoning to some of the mince and it was quite good. I also tried forming the mince into nuggets. I breaded them and they were ok, but I liked it as minced “meat” in the tacos a bit better. #veganin2020 #deliciou #eatathome #plantbasedchicken #plantbasedmeat

I can see how these #veganchicken #shreds are a handy thing to stock in the

kitchen 🙂 Versatile and can be used in a number of ways (see the reverse of the carton, 2nd image), though so far I've only tried adding them to a pasta dish. That wasn't a roaring success as the clumpiness of the moistened shreds didn't sit well with a dry-ish pesto + oil base. But I definitely see how this can be used better 😅 Have the rest of #veganuary to experiment 😉

Exploring this has been quite tricky but fun! It's basically a mix where you just

have to add oil and water and you mould into patties or meatballs. Quite wild that this has 20g proteins per serve with #nosoy but has #gluten 🌾 It does get mushy fast if you're frying a big batch. But I've used in shreds in fried rice and the texture is very uncanny! For VFC I'd stick to oyster mushrooms though.
