other frozen Daiya pizzas at Grocery Outlet earlier this year. The price was ridiculously low, probably around $5 when they normally retail for at least twice that amount.
With all its toppings (meatless Italian sausage flavoured crumble, mushrooms, onions and green and red bell peppers), this pizza is definitely “supreme”. It was full of flavor. But unfortunately, like other frozen pizzas, there are a lot of calories, fat, and sodium. It’s really not the healthiest dinner, but it is a very tasty one that’s has plenty of fibre, protein, potassium, calcium and iron to offset the nasty nutritional side.
The sausage crumble is provided by Beyond Meat.
I noticed the cheese on this pizza melted a lot better than the bagged Daiya cheese available separately in grocery stores. Presumably, it’s the same cheese, but for whatever reason, I think this cheese melts better.
I recommend getting this pizza but not at the regular retail price. It is a small pizza for $11 or $12. But if you can snag it for a cheap price, definitely get it.
