I picked up this container of plant-based feta cheeze crumble at
No Frills. It was priced at 2 for $10, which I thought was a good deal.
Similar to Daiya’s feta block, this cheeze smells like feta, but I wouldn’t say it tastes like feta (admittedly, it’s been about 7 years since I’ve had feta cheese, so my taste buds may be off). I love how it tastes though, but I just wouldn’t describe it exactly as feta. It’s already loosely crumbled.
I took some of it and sprinkled it over pasta; it’s something different from plant-based Parmesan. I enjoyed the flavour.
This feta crumble doesn’t really add much nutritionally.
I’d buy it again. It’s a nice deviation from the other more popular/common plant-based cheese types on the market.
