This was my first time having overnight oats and I was pleasantly surprised! Taste and texture wise, there is the smoothness of the oats and banana purée contrasted with the almonds - which tasted more like walnuts that I had to keep checking the label - and the maple syrupy bottom that could be used as a mix-in, as opposed to a dip-in, which is how I enjoyed it. Meaning the syrup held its form, but was not overly thick. It added a nice maple-sugar glaze to the oats and was really pleasant. I didn’t think cold oats could be that good!
A container has 200 calories, with 8g of fat, 26g of carbs (4g of fiber), and a whopping 6g of protein! Yay! 🎉
There are also chia and flax seeds in the oatmeal, and I did notice the chia seeds decorating the oatmeal as I ate it. I think it was a great idea that they added these superfoods in here!
Purchased at Stop & Shop for $2.79, which is a little pricier than I’d have wanted, but not by much.
Will be adding this to my approved items list.
