🍦🤤This is a treat, not a health food. It contains a lot of sugar, unspecified
type, so possibly white and refined.
Shape/Conditioning: 465 ml / 391 g Cardboard cup. That's positive. Wash the cup after use and it can go with paper/cardboard recycling.
🍦Ingredients: Of course, ice cream is mainly water, with sugar being the second main ingredient. In this ice cream, there is also glucose syrup, which has a bad reputation as a sweetener. The binding and stabilizing agents are the vegetal guar gum, carraghenan and carob flour. The ice cream also contains almond paste and pea protein. The cream is palm oil free, but curiously enough also uses soy oil as a fat apart from coconut and sunflower oil. Absolutely positive is the absence of colouring and chemical preserving agents. The sugar, cocoa and vanilla are said to be fair trade.
🍦Taste/bite: The taste is very good, due to the almond paste and the salted caramel. Is has this somewhat addictive sugary/salty balance that will make you crave for more. Difficult to start eating without finishing the whole cup at once. So beware, remember this should be a treat from time to time unless you want to finish on the highway to obesity and diabetes.
🍦💶Price: I paid 7,87 € for the cup in December 2022. Expensive compared to most of the non-dairy ice creams. However, the composition is better than most mediocre or low priced comparable dairy ice creams.
