Its very nice and fair price and the container looks small but there is actually a lot of beans inside

So I saw a “Vegetarian Baked Beans” variation by Ayam Brand while doing groceries and then got curious if the ones I had at home had any animal-derived ingredients 🤭 They don’t seem to have any E-numbers listed under the ingredients & everything else seems in order so it’s #accidentallyvegan I guess 🤷‍♀️ #abillionwomen #roomtoread

Seems that the main difference between this product and Ayam’s explicitly labeled ‘vegetarian’ baked beans is that this product has onion and garlic, while the ‘vegetarian’ product doesn’t, as some religiously motivated vegetarians don’t take onion and garlic. I enjoy onion and garlic.

Baked Beans is what I grew up with for sunday brunch with toast, eggs, ham, sausages & bacon, french fries with pancake. Mum loved preparing a spread of easy food. So baked beans always reminds me of happy days. I like it so much I even put in in my dry asian style noodles! I posted a pix on how I typically have it on a french loaf, except that I ran out of lettuce. Ayam brand is local & the baked beans are comparable to other famous imprted brands.
