What’s wrong with coconuts? Whether it’s coconut water, milk, oil, or coconut meat itself, this industry has a huge problem with animal cruelty.

What can we do? Keep asking these companies the tough questions. If they claim they don’t use animals, then they should show us the how; how their coconuts are grown and harvested. Sometimes it’s not just the ingredient but the labour (the how) whether human or animal it all matters.
I was very disappointed to learn that Live Clean, a brand that claims to be vegan and cruelty-free, products I’ve used for over a decade now has this ingredient in some of their products. For example, coconut oil is in their body lotions. When contacted, they stated that they don’t support animal exploitation, but they as of yet have not backed up these claims with proof. Very disappointed.
