Allegria - White Blend

Reviews by abillion’s vegan community

#supportsmallbusiness #smallbusiness #colaneriestatewinery #whitewine Allegria is Colaneri Estate Winery’s only white wine blend. It’s a blend of Gewurztraminer (45%), Sauvignon Blanc (40%), Chardonnay (10%), and Riesling (5%). Each of these grapes on their own is fantastic; together they mix very well. I didn’t have a bottle of Gewurztraminer which pairs well with spicy dishes, but this wine (with Gewurztraminer being the main grape) beautifully complemented my dinner the other night (a melange of California Mixed Vegetables (reviewed earlier tonight), lemony flavoured soy protein, mushrooms, peas, corn, rice and Oh! Me Pineapples Hot Sauce (reviewed earlier tonight)). I love this wine on its own too as I’m watching tv or reading. According to the winery’s website, the wine is described as “A cheerful expression of grapefruit, lime, pear and honey on the nose lead to a joyous palate which celebrates tropical notes to start. Grapefruit, apple and honeydew begin before the pineapple and ginger finish. A great wine to enjoy on the Piazza!” Colaneri Estate Winery is a small family run winery in Ontario’s Niagara on the Lake. All their wines are vegan, according to Barnivore.com.
