Good texture and presentation but don’t love the taste. I air fried, might be better frying in oil

As an American, I grew up on hot dogs until I found out where they come from! I go back and forth with friends about whether vegans should eat meat imitation or not, but must says it’s convinced a few still-carnivore friends (including husband) to eat less meat. Well done Aldi for making veganism tasty and affordable!
OMG these taste good! Bit into my 🌭 and thought “Oh my, how can they make these taste so good?” then looked at the ingredients list and it all went downhill!. As expected there’s a long list of additives, colourings and preservatives…this I can live with because let’s face it 🌭 aren’t a healthy option and I’d only be having as an occasional treat. What I can’t live with is the palm oil which isn’t RSPO certified, so I won’t be buying again 😢. 49/100 = poor on YUKA
Okay I didn’t like these. In their defence I didn’t used to like meat hot dog sausages either, so maybe I shouldn’t have bought them ! I struggled to finish, very smoky taste & a texture which I think is like the meaty ones (but can’t totally recall)… anyway I’m sure others may enjoy, but not for me #veganisnotscary
Had these yesterday for the first time, added some fresh chillies, mixed lettuce, vegan sheeze, chilli jam and mustard.
