I didn't realise these were vegan until today! I always assumed they contain butter, but they don't and they are actually labelled as vegan. I like them plain, just popped in the toaster as a snack. They feel quite substantial and comforting.

I absolutely love Potato Cakes, reminds me of breakfasts in Ireland, it's something I don't have often thought. Picked up in Tesco reduced, vegan marked. Great plain, with some butter, some marmite or with a breakfast to mop up with
Underwhelming! Not particularly tasty, & slightly claggy on my teeth. I expect they'd be a lot better fried (as many things are), e.g. as part of a fry up. Although the cooking instructions suggested just grilling or toasting (& I toasted these). Nevertheless, I just ate the packet of 6 (I was hungry!) - which, of my daily recommended allowances, has given me: - 96% of salt; - 48% of fat (60% of saturated fat); - 24% of sugar. Which seems pretty extreme! I bought to try as they were reduced (10p); RRP 75p, but wouldn't bother again, even at 10p. Warburton's serving suggestion is "top with bacon & eggs", which helps explain why our hospitals are full of carnists dying from cardiovascular issues. Roll on ill health (as well as carbon) taxes on food...
Kinda like thick potato scones, just would also prefer a vegan suggestion option on the front packaging lol since it mentions suitable for vegans at the back but then has dead pigs and hen secretions as suggestions. 13/3/22
