Founded in 1982 by Zen Buddhist Bernie Glassman, Greyston was built on the belief that business can be a tool for compassion.

They pioneered Open Hiring®: no resumes, no interviews, no background checks. Anyone who wants to work gets a chance — including those who’ve faced incarceration, homelessness, or other barriers.
