What I learnt from Maa Ka Doodh

1. Drinking milk leads to suffering of cows as they are kept in poor conditions and killed when they can’t produce milk anymore

2. Drinking milk leads to sexual crime against cows. They cannot have normal procreation but are forcibly impregnated

3. Drinking milk is stealing from cows and baby calfs

4. Drinking milk leads to the increase beef in food industry as the diary cattle will end up at the dining table, Indian is the top exporter of beef

5. Drinking milk leads to climate issues as lands are grazed for feedstock and grazing
lands for cows

It is killing, stealing and sexual misconduct, and drinking milk involves all these

Watch the movie for an in-depth view of the above points

fulfilling A great watch. I’ve gained a deeper understanding of what it meant by “government subsidies the dairy 🥛 industry” 4 likesReply
itsjustmel Does it have a lot of graphic cruelty? I want to watch but I can’t deal with horrific imagery. I won’t be able to sleep for weeks. Thanks 🙏 4 likesReply
fulfilling Thanks for asking. Yes, this person showed the reality of human cruelty towards the cows & also the slaughtering. He didn’t discount on that to make it easy on the eyes. I watched the whole show in two sittings because it got too heavy for me. For those scenes, I looked away to the edge of the laptop. The producer also played down a little by reducing the size by putting a few photos amongst them. He helped me to view this dairy industry through his lens. 2 likesReply
fulfilling There are alot of people he interviewed & they provided a good insight into what is actually happening on the ground level. The graphic cruelty is not the highlight of this documentary. 1 likeReply
veganhubby It’s ok. Only for some scenes. It’s pretty long at 2 hours. The interviews are extensive.1 likeReply
itsjustmel Thank you for this. I’ll give it a try, maybe with a cushion handy to hide behind ♥️ The dairy industry already causes sleepless nights for me. It’s the worst of them all, if it were possible to rank them 😞2 likesReply
fulfilling Good idea to have your cushion with you. enjoy the interviews. Reply
animalsvoices That's why being a vegetarian is not enough. The only way to stop animal cruelty is being vegan.2 likesReply
