Enjoyed these iced matcha lattes we had at Trocadero. Ordered one with oat and one with soy. The mango was definitely the favourite, but the strawberry was pretty good too. Found the matcha a little more bitter/ grassy than more
A nice share platter for two-three people with bread, hummus, coconut yoghurt, vegetables, polenta sticks, and falafels. Really enjoyed this platter but felt more like you’re paying for the experience at dockside rather more
I really enjoyed the flavours and textures in this dish, but the portion size was too small and I just can’t justify it for the price ($37 NZD). Crispy topping on the tofu was lovely, but still felt a bit like something more
Nothing out of this world in terms of flavour, but I can never help myself when it comes to dumplings and the enoki mushrooms and micro coriander on top really elevated this dish. Price is pretty high so not super worth more
This is my second time I’ve reviewed the nori-wrapped tofu and chips, and I’d still recommend this meal. Prices at dockside are definitely on the more expensive side ($39NZD!) but I still think a nice place to go for a special more
Smokey eggplant halves in a creamy almond vinaigrette with fried leeks, cherry tomatoes, microgreens, and a hazelnut pangrattato. Another beautifully presented meal with creative flavours and textures.
Homemade casarecce pasta in a cherry tomato and chilli sauce, topped with kawakawa pesto, grated blanched almonds, fried greens, and olive oil. The olive oil was a vibrant green, but the main flavour I could pick out was more
Beautifully presented, bright, and fresh flavours. Toasted bread, sundried tomato spread, generous slabs of green and red heirloom tomatoes, topped with almond shavings, orange infused oil, and microgreens.
If you’re in Florianópolis, you have to visit Piratas Veg - we ate more sushi than I thought possible and everything was 100/10. Honestly some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and at very affordable prices. Cannot recommend enough.
If you happen to be visiting Zealandia soon (5-25 August), or if a vegan and gluten free Welly on a Plate burger is what you’re after, then look no further! The burger comes in a delicious gluten-free bun and as a non-gluten more
