CNY 2024 special! 🧧 The star of the show were the Teochew golden rolls, kinda reminiscent of ngoh hiang, with parcels of savoury diced mushrooms and veggies encased in crispy (albeit somewhat oily) beancurd skin. 🍢🍄‍🟫 Another noteworthy component of the bento was the steamed silken tofu with tomato, mushroom, and konjac in some kind of pickled plum sauce, which reminded me of the classic Teochew-style steamed fish dish. 🤍🍅 Both approved by my non-veg Teochew mum!! Sadly I visited near closing hours, so they ran out of the stir-fried spinach with matsutake mushroom which I had been curious about... 🥲🥬 They offered to swap it to other veggies such as Chinese cabbage or braised pumpkin instead. Served with a bowl of clear soup, and once again my red date apple soup got swapped out to another soup too haha please don't make my mistake of visiting near closing hours... 😭 Option of white rice, sesame rice, or brown rice topped with tasty spicy radish shreds. 🍲🍚 Would actually be keen to re-order this limited time special while it's still available, hopefully with all components in place this time!! 😝 (Allium-free, $13.80) #sgvegan #chinesefood #alliumfree #vegancny #chinesenewyear
