Proficiat! 🙌 Another big Kuching player has added #veganfriendly items to their large, mostly omnivorous menu 👩🍳 A very cohesive #bento menu at that! 🍱
Keen observers may notice in the last photo that they list “lightly grilled sweetcorn with cheese” as one of the sides; They’ve corrected this and no longer include the #cheese 🧀
I do recommend making a reservation via Whatsapp ahead of time & specifying your dietary preferences. This helped them catch something non-vegan in another side we ordered. The service here is excellent! 💯
I’m a sucker for #eggplant and this absolutely delivered 😋🍆 They way they chopped it and have it unroll is fantastic! The #teriyaki was #droolworthy too 🤤 Perfect pairing with the lovely #japonica rice they serve 🍚
As for appetisers, they’re the same bento to bento 👉 Starting with the aforementioned grilled #sweetcorn 🌽 — so #savoury by the way! 🥵 plus an amazing #mushroom floss rice ball 🍙, another single #shiitake placed right smack in the centre of the bento box 😂 and a yet another piece of #pumpkin in sweet #shoyu & vinegar (not pictured) 🎃
Then for the sides you’ll find some amazing #veganribs which they seem to make in-house, a somewhat disappointing “potato cake”, a nice & warm #misosoup with bits of #tofu in it, and a #gyoza in place of the #beancurd the menu mentions 🥟
Oh, I’m not finished! 🤣 Finally, a lovely #redbean #mochi to finish your unbelievably diverse meal 🤰 And to think @m1tch9i thought we’d need a side 🤭
This is RM31 by the way 💸 I think it’s worth it 😉
