Review of The Goat - Spero Foods by kyu

I thought I knew what to expect from The Goat, but I was still unprepared for just how goat-y the sunflower-seed-based cheese would be. The first thing I noticed upon opening the container was the very sharp and pungent smell, which closely mimics the real thing (or at least my memory of it!)
Unfortunately, I’m not much of a cheese lover, so this was too strong for me. I tried placing little dabs of it in salad and spreading it over toast; it was definitely better warmed up but overall a bit too funky. There was also a minor aftertaste that I was sensitive to. I want to emphasize that the cheese is not at fault here! — I’m sure a more worldly vegan would enjoy its flavors, and it’s always exciting to see truly innovative products like those coming from Spero.
