Wow! I really like this fried rice! It’s perfect on its own but I used in some burritos I made for meal prep this week! Refried beans at the base, this rice and a sprinkle of violife shredded mozzarella! Simple, easy prep and tasty!  I love how this rice has veggies including edamame, tofu and perfect seasoning! Will definitely buy this again!

I never thought to use the fried rice in this way! I’ll have to give it a try — looks delicious!

Judging by our Crew Member survey, Trader Joe’s Japanese Style Fried Rice has probably been recommended to a good number of you. Hopefully, that same number of you has tried it, because there’s nothing that compares. It’s our take on takikomi gohan, a traditional Japanese style of rice flavored with soy sauce and mirin. Our version contains edamame, pieces of lightly fried tofu, and thin strips of hijiki seaweed.

The product you’ll find in our freezers is fully cooked—you can heat it in minutes in a microwave or skillet or wok—and works excellently as either a side with a larger Japanese-inspired meal or as the main dish for a vegetarian feast. We recommend you take our recommendation, and pick up a 16-ounce bag of Japanese Style Fried Rice for $2.99 each.
