My favorite dish at #yellowpot. It's a very pretty restaurant but super light on mushrooms with avocado, some of the sauteed veggies and their fried rice (see my other reviews, and be sure to specify no eggs!). The eggplant was my favorite dish. Spring onions, garlic, tiny button mushrooms and a delicious sweet & sour sauce that also had a nice spicy kick to it.
For authentic #sichuan cuisine that's also plant-based head to Si Wei Mao Cai #siweimaocai on Mosque Street or Shisen Hanten #shisenhanten on Orchard if you're looking for something fancy!
Tip: We sort of judge sichuan restaurants by the quality of the mapo tofu. Here they refused to make it without beef 🤬 and the few friends at the table that had it said it was awful. The only dish left standing. So I wouldn't go back to Yellow Pot unless they #tryharder!
