Wow! What a salad. 🥗 #thaifood #plantbasedbangkok I think the #banana blossoms were cut finely and then stir fried. Mixed with #crispy #tofu cubes, #carrots, #tomato and #herbs. Then that #dressing: simply divine #droolworthy. And there was soo much of it. Possibly made with #coconut cream and seasonings. That’s one nice #salad

Thai curries slap 🤤 Massaman is my favorite type and this one didn’t disappoint. It was #creamy, rich, peanutty, #aromatic - simply #divine. Filled with #tofu, potatoes and more veggies. Perfect portion size as well, doesn’t leave you feel hungry or stuffed #thaifood #massaman #curry

With my heavy curry (see last review), I wanted a Thai salad 🥗 Vegetables (and maybe some fruit) with a dressing - that’s my picture of a salad. Of course you can get all fancy and add different topics. In my opinion, this dish here doesn’t deserve to be called a salad, because it isn’t a #salad lol. But maybe that’s why it’s called a SPECIAL SALAD. #veganbangkok When it was served, my thoughts were: #MASSIVE. I was still eating on my curry so I didn’t dig in immediately. But when I did I was… a bit shocked. The supposed salad 🥗 turned out to be deep fried vegetables, mushrooms and seaweed with a tangy sauce. Topped with fresh onion, tomato and herbs, some peanuts and sesame seeds. #mushroomlover #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease As I expected something light - especially having just indulged in a heavy curry, and it being 35°C, this was an experience to say the least. It was damn tasty but the portion was way too much in combination with a curry. I still ate it all because we hate food waste! Should’ve opted for the well known som tum (green papaya salad) - there I would’ve known what I’d get haha. I’d get it again - as a main, and only dish for lunch, that’s how filling it was. It definitely filled me up for a heavy day of sightseeing. Does this qualify as a salad for you?

What’s your favorite Thai style curry? For me it’s a tie between Masaman curry and Panang curry. Both are comforting, but also very different. This time, Panang curry won the battle in my mind. #curry #thaifood #panangcurry Coming in at only 100 bhat (~2.60€) - which made me think it’d be a smaller portion. But this thing was loaded. You had the creamy and flavorful coconut milk based curry, filled with veggies, mushrooms and #tofu! #mushroomlover #coconutlover Very flavorful, perfectly spiced: comforting! Staff was very nice and chatty as well. But the restaurant is an outdoor space so it’s hoooot and stuffy in there 🥵

Mai Kaidees is one of the oldest vegetarian restaurans in Bangkok, it's the first veggie restaurant I ever visited in Asia almost 20 years ago! 😍. It feels so homey here , all the food is good ... I love this pumpkin #hummus so much, it's so satisfying and light at the same time. Makes me feel so good with the veggies and black rice too. Happy to be back in Thailand 🇹🇭 This costs 90 baht. #hummuslover #veganthailand

Can't go wrong with a green #vegancurry in Thailand ! This one was creamy, fragrant, mildly spicy and abundant in tofu, veggies and flavour. They even brought us a peanut sauce for free which went very well on the brown rice! Thai people are so very gentle and kind. 🇹🇭 Great to visit May Kaidees in Bangkok once again! A very tasty soup that’s not too filling, oily, or spicy. It has rice noodles, carrot, onion, tomato, mixed veggies, kaffir lime, galangal, lemongrass, tofu, coriander, and Tom Yam chilli paste in a coconut soup base. The broth tasted really great!

These are basically fresh spring rolls wrapped in a noodle. They have tofu, cabbage, lettuce, carrot, ginger, basil, mint, cashew, and sesame seeds served with a tamarind sauce. These where a good appetizer but I thought the herbs in this were wayyyyy too overpowering.

May Kaidees Pad Thai is my very favorite. Sometimes I would find that when pad Thai dishes were made vegan they were less flavorful but this one is so so delicious!! #isaandathenathailand
