Tasted like watered downed coffee and chocolate laddened with sugar. Only drank a few sips. I’m sure it will taste a lot better tomorrow when I make a smoothie out of the rest of it along with frozen banana, more plant milk, in addition to the coconut milk that this already has and maybe some dates. I actually wanted a mocha substituted with a plant milk, but they said that the mocha’s chocolate has dairy in it, so this had to be a latte, which would normally be fine with me, except that I was charged extra for adding the non-dairy chocolate and to substitute with coconut milk.  At over $10 for a small size, I couldn’t help but put things into perspective. This morning, I left my house with a very happy mouth and fulfilled stomach, after trying out Yo Plant Based Poached Egg for the first time along with a tall glass of orange juice. When I do the math, my delicious breakfast was only about $3-$4 (the Yo Egg , Ezekiel slice of bread, Miyoko butter… all pricey brands if you notice… and 100% orange juice. It took me about 15 min to wait in line, place the order, and wait for my coffee to be ready, which is basically just a snack, for $10, and I didn’t even like it, yet my delicious breakfast only took about 10 minutes to be ready for less than half the cost. This will serve as a reminder to me the next time I’m out and about and want to try something quick and new, especially at a non~vegan place. It might just feel worth it to wait until I get home.  This place has a vegan menu, which I included a photo here. I’ve heard from other vegans that it’s really good. It’s way too pricey for me to try out (a sandwich is over $20), especially after my poor experience with the coffee, but I’m happy that this is available near my home. I may consider it someday when I have guests, since it has a nice ambience for those who are very social.  #coffee #latte #overpriced
