They managed to take 3 of my favourite things and make the end product something lesser than the sum of its parts 😢 If anything, what I most remembered was the #asparagus 😅 This was the 主食 to round out our #dimsum #brunch I guess (Can it be brunch at 2pm just because you're hung over and just woke up? 😛)

I didn't rate this #dandanmian all that much, it definitely tasted like a poor attempt at #sichuan 😢 I can't tell you what was off but something clearly was 😬 Much as I appreciated the #peanut in the sauce and the texture of the #noodles. When this arrived we looked at one another (yes, that's 6 of us) as if to ask how it was going to suffice for us all. That there was still a fair bit to go around towards the end of the meal tells you quite a bit 🥲

A bit of a sight for sore eyes, but the others around the table swore that this was the best thing we ordered 😅 The #dumplings were coated in this angry, fiery, #spicy sauce, but it was really the quality of the filling that did it 🙂 A really good complement to the dan dan mian that we also got (and which I'm reviewing next 😉) #dimsum

Ooh almost, almost perfect. These #siewmai really looked the part and also just tasted so meaty in that #comfortfood sort of way typical of traditional #dimsum 🙂 My only complaint would be that the #mushroom filling was too uniform and too stiff in texture, biological meat would have some unevenness and alternation between soft and firm, iykwim 😅

These are #zhuchangfen or #cheecheongfun where I come from 😏 But fine if you want to call then #ricenoodle rolls 😅 I have no idea what #ganoderma is, but I know that the mixed #mushroom did well to offer some bite and some variety of flavour. One of the better efforts at this veggie #dimsum place

Again nothing too wrong with this #charsiew #bao in a traditional steamer basket, but also nothing too extraordinary. The #bun was light and fluffy, and the #bbqpork filling was just about alright 😐 The rest of the group agreed to come to this veggie #dimsum place because of me, and I could just see how much they were biting their tongues and trying not to outright castigate me for luring them to such an underwhelming brunch 😬

The #dimsum at this place was distinctly ordinary, I didn't believe I came all the way to Hong Kong for this 😥 These #veganshrimp #dumplings had the right sort of texture on the outside but the flavour inside was entirely unconvincing, #bambooshoots tips or not 😥 The dining room was cramped and unatmospheric, the personnel disinterested, and the table left less than pristine after the previous service 😩
