So delicious! Added the plant based meat for $2, making this dish $20. The “meat” was different to the usual one they serve, usually it’s soft strips of simple soy/wheat protein, but this time it came with crunchy, fried, battered pieces that I loved (reminiscent of sweet and sour pork). The veggies were abundant and perfectly tender-crisp, and the tamarind sauce was sweet and tangy. Also had pineapple chunks, yum. The portion was so generous and I could only finish half. Took home the leftovers for the next day, such good value. While everything else becomes more and more expensive, I think that U Tong has actually reduced their prices. Reasonably tasty little dim sims with faux meat inside. Nice soft steamed pastry. Doesn’t feel like the best value though as they’re so small - 8 pieces for around $8. Still nothing tops their VFC drumsticks.

Again, excuse my terrible effort of slopping the takeaway curry into a bowl - it really doesn’t do U Tong any justice 🥲 Every curry I’ve tried from U Tong has been so good and this one was no different. The curry sauce is flavourful and plentiful. Loads of veg and strips of plant based “meat”. I requested to make this spicy but I suppose they missed that note, because it was mild as can be. Still delicious! This was $18 + $2 for “meat”, great value as I got two meals out of it when served with rice + starters. #redcurry #thai #brisbanevegans #takeaway

Excuse my god awful photo, U Tong dishes look beautiful in the restaurant but not when I have takeaway and slap it in a bowl at home. Tom yum soup was exactly what I was craving. The spicy, salty and sour broth was delicioussss and filled with lots of tender-crispy veggies and tofu. Great value at only $9. #tomyum #brisbanevegans #thai

Thought we’d try something different from our usual entree order of the PFC drumsticks, and we should’ve stuck with that classic 😅 These satay chick’n skewers were tasty (especially the peanut sauce which I could drink a bowl of). However they were pretty small and unsubstantial for $8.90. They were even smaller in the takeaway portion we had one time. #brisbanevegans #satay

Not my favourite laksa I’ve ever had, but still super good. I added their plant based “duck”, which has a great flavour and texture. Very flavourful dish and this time was very spicy 🥵 but I didn’t mind! Ordered this for delivery and the containers were generous sizes, so got 2 meals from each. #laksa #takeout

Something so seemingly simple, but U Tong make it so damn good! Stir fried rice with “meat” pieces and veggies, very tasty and satisfying. Love the Thai basil leaves and hint of fresh chilli.

Delicious 😍 Wasn’t too sure what to expect from this somewhat vaguely named dish, but turns out that it’s BBQ “meat” with stir fried veg in a tasty sauce with salad greens. The “meat” was pork-like - super meaty, rich and tender. Paired perfectly with a side of steamed rice. The dish overall was full of flavour, beautifully presented and a huge portion for $22 (took home half). #veganisnotscary

Mixed entree includes tofu with peanut sauce, 1 spring roll, 1 taro spring roll and 1 curry puff. Costs $10.90 if I remember right? U-Tong’s prices have gone up quite a bit lately, but you can’t blame them in this climate. Rather them put up prices than close like so many other Brisbane vegan restaurants lately ☹️ Anyways this was all super tasty as usual for U-Tong, it wasn’t that filling though. Their peanut sauce is to die for and I haven’t tried most of these menu items individually so it was nice to try something different. #veganisnotscary

My first time trying rad na - a Thai dish of flat rice noodles with tofu or meat in a thick “gravy”. This was really tasty! Lots of veggies, plant based “meat” and an extremely generous amount of yummy sauce. My only tiny gripe is that I would’ve liked some more rice noodles to balance out the sauciness. They were buried at the bottom and I couldn’t even see them to begin with, the dish looks like a soup. But still tasty af, and as I couldn’t finish it I’ll be enjoying the leftovers for lunch tomorrow - with some extra rice to compensate for the sauce 😅

Delicious, one of my favourite dishes here. Coconut curry with vegan “duck”, pineapple, lychee and mixed vegetables, $20.90. Very large serving. The coconut broth is light and flavourful, the “duck” is tender and tasty, nice freshness from the Thai basil, and the veggies are perfectly tender-crisp. I love the little extra sweetness from the lychee and pineapple. Loooooads of sauce to drown your rice in.
