The potatoes, which were technically just a side dish with the rest of the vegetables, tasted really good. The meat was their usual mock meat mimicking pork belly that can be found in some of the other dishes, but it was fried and coated with some sauce that made it more tasty.
Around $4.80. Nostalgic Taiwanese-style thick braised sauce and tasty soy & konnyaku roast ‘pork’. Love the mildly tangy pickles on the side!
Braised ‘Pork’ Rice ‘扣肉’饭 $4.80 Comes with ‘fatty pork’ made from konnyaku, textured soy protein & a viscous, savoury sauce. Interestingly came with a small portion of mixed fresh picked pear & cucumbers! #veganisnotscary
The best omnimeat dish I've had. Wasn't too salty unlike every other omnimeat dish I've had so far. Highly recommend this dish.
Amazed by the texture of the “meat” that they made themselves! It really looks and tastes like meat. I also really enjoyed the variety of vegetables that they provided, which includes eggplants, long beans, lady’s fingers, tomatoes, as well as potatoes and 2 types of mushrooms.
