Maruti Indian Restaurant is my favorite Indian Restaurant in Portland because they’re entirely vegetarian and have a nice inviting ambiance. Their Tikka Masala is made with a coconut cream based tomato sauce cooked in Indian spices with your choice of mushrooms or potatoes, or a mix of both mushrooms & potatoes. This entree comes with a generous plate of basmati rice on the side, and there is also an option to add soy curls to the masala for only a couple dollars more, which I always do. The comfort this dish offers is even better with a side of their garlic naan, which I highly recommend ordering. The naan will help you soak up all of the remaining sauce stuck on the bowl after you’ve cleaned up the vegetables. 🫓 😋 And trust me, this cream sauce is too good to let a drop go to waste! 😆
